Not your typical Flea Market

One of the most unique things to do on a weekend in the bay area is to attend the Alameda Flea Market or professionally known as the Alameda Point Antiques Fair. The admission changes due to the time of attending (as theory has it that all the fabulous finds go early, but I’ve seen otherwise!). It’s a great place to find unique items to add to a home remodel or room makeover, search for old prints or dishes, or stock up on lovely items for an event.

From the moment you walk into the fair you will be blown away by the vastness of the event. This fair goes on for miles… I’m not joking. It can be overwhelming to believe the miles and miles of antiques, goodies, and food trucks.

On my last trip, I ended up buy some very old Little LuLu comics from the early 1950’s. I modestly purchased these comics for 3.00 a piece and after some research saw that they sell from 30.00 to 200.00 depending on condition. I was shocked as you can imagine. Score!
