Summer is upon us and it’s time to start thinking of how to keep the kiddies busy. STEM / STEAM programs are all the rage these days and here are some that rise above the mark.

1. Act Out Science

Act Out Science uses theater arts as a tool to make science come to life!  Through song, puppetry, drama, story, and more, we create space for enthusiastic engagement in a variety of scientific concepts.

2. SMASH Program –

Summer Math and Science Honors Academy (SMASH):  a summer math and science enrichment program for high-potential, low-income high school students of color.

3. Mission Science Workshop

Science enrichment for public school students in the Mission and beyond.

4. Computer History Museum

Programs for grades 3-12, including self-guided visits, docent-led discussions, and interactive workshops.

5. Robotics For Fun

A space in which kids can build robots and expand their math and science skills.

Being smart and learning doesn’t mean you’re a nerd.. and even if you are, it’s fun!
