Autumn Wreath

Raid your craft closet and the store for fun, seasonal add-ons that will make your door the envy of the neighborhood. If you can’t find every item that this blogger uses in her wreath, customize it based on your taste, and your supplies. The feathers, though, are easy to make—they’re just paper.

In the spotlight

Squash, pumpkins and a twig of ginkgo leaves (inserted in a flower pick) on mounded moss command attention in this bell jar set atop a terra-cotta dish. Substitute a terrarium, large jar or even aglass cake cover, if desired. Arrange a few spillovers outside the glass for a touch of spontaneity.

Cozy glow

Wrap glass votive holders in textural flair.Tie raffia around three or four overlapping moistened corn husks trimmed to fit. A spotted guinea fowl feather (available at crafts stores) adds a flourish.

Faux fireplace

No fireplace for that cozy fall feel? Fill a large bowl or wire basket with logs. Weave in battery-powered orange twinkle lights and enjoy the glow.
