The 2016 Michelin Stars for San Francisco Are Announced

Manresa moves on up to three stars, while Commis and Campton Place upgrade to two

The French restaurant guide made its announcement for awards in the Bay Area today and the biggest news is that Manresa, David Kinch’s vegetable-forward restaurant in Los Gatos, has finally been awarded three stars (up from two last year). Manresa was closed for six months last year after a fire destroyed its kitchen, bathrooms, and storage areas.

In other major news: Commis and Campton Place have both been upgraded to two stars, and 15 new restaurants have earned one star. These include Lazy Bear, formerly a pop-up, and Kin Khao, a Thai restaurant previously awarded Bib Gourmand status. See the full list below:
